The International Cricket Council says that, from August the first, players must give three months' notice of where they'll be, to allow for random drug tests.
This 'whereabouts' rule as it is known, was first introduced by The World Anti-Doping Agency in athletics.
The ICC became a signatory in 2006 but players from India had initially rejected it, saying they were concerned about their security and privacy.
Players from all other major cricketing nations had already signed up.
