Murali is the second most successful bowler in Test history
Muttiah Muralitharan has been provisionally included in Sri Lanka's squad for the series of five one-day games against England in October.
The 35-year-old off-spinner, who missed the World Twenty20 in South Africa with a biceps injury, must prove his fitness before the series opener on 1 October.
Gayan Wijekoon and Dilruwan Perera, who have not previously represented their country in one-dayers, are also named.
The series opens in Dambulla and closes in Colombo on 13 October.
